Background:
At Tizz we are building the official flagship decentralized perpetual exchange of Botanix, the only L2 on Bitcoin today with scalable security. Our core founding team is based in New York, but we also have fully remote teammates. Some of our investors include CMS and UTXO.
We are a small group of crypto natives with multiple Web2 and Web3 startup exits. We are looking to onboard a marketing lead to our team.
Role Overview:
We are looking for self-starters and mission-driven individuals to join us as we build the future of decentralized finance. The marketing lead would develop and implement marketing strategies and guide the Tizz brand over time. The ideal candidate will work with the BD, Engineering, and Design teams to produce content, own the marketing calendar, and develop go-to-market strategies for major product launches, updates, collaborations, and more.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate their ability to generate exposure opportunities for the Tizz before joining the team and has likely led growth or marketing initiatives at a DeFi protocol.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement data-driven marketing campaigns and initiatives in accordance with major business development and engineering milestones
Evangelize and onboard new users through the Bitcoin ecosystem across a variety of traditional and crypto-native mediums such as Twitter Spaces or Discord
Organize in-person and virtual events around the Tizz community and ecosystem
Direct logistics around content creation for advertising campaigns and associated events
Drive and quantify user acquisition, retention, and growth across multiple userbases and archetypes
Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, BD, and other teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product improvement
Requirements:
Track record of creating and implementing strategy-driven marketing initiatives in DeFi with measurable metrics
3+ years of personal on-chain experience with DeFi
Strong understanding of blockchain technology, DeFi primitives, and perpetual exchange ecosystems
Strong knowledge of user groups amongst crypto and bitcoin
Experience managing social accounts and community building (Twitter, Discord, Telegram)
Good personal network in CT
Robust interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
