About the Role: You will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring technical talent across various roles, including engineering, product, and infrastructure teams. Beyond talent acquistion and recruiting, this role has the potential to grow into a broader HR leadership position, taking on responsibilities across all aspects of human resources as the company scales.
What You’ll Do
Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment process from sourcing candidates to offer negotiation, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience throughout.
Talent Sourcing: Proactively source candidates through various channels including LinkedIn, GitHub, job boards, networking events, and more. Develop creative sourcing strategies and build a talent pipeline of technical candidates for future roles.
Screening and Interviews: Conduct initial screenings to assess candidate qualifications, cultural fit, and interest in Orca. Coordinate technical interviews alongside hiring managers.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, define job requirements, and set compensation.
Market Insights: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, compensation insights, and market dynamics to guide recruitment strategies.
Expand into HR Leadership: As the company grows, take on broader HR responsibilities, including onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, and HR policy development.
What You’ll Bring
Proven Experience: 2+ years of experience in technical recruiting or related field, preferably in a high-growth startup or tech environment.
Strong Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and articulate technical roles, skills, and requirements. Basic familiarity with programming languages.
Crypto Knowledge: User of dapps, familiarity with AMMs and DeFi ecosystem.
Passion for People: A self-starter who wants to grow to lead HR. Passionate about creating a positive culture and building strong relationships within Orca.
Adaptable and Organized: Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup. Highly organized and is eager to meet KPIs.
Growth Mindset: An interest in expanding into broader HR functions, with a desire to develop your career into HR leadership as the company grows.
Preferred Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
Network and Community Involvement: Active involvement in tech communities, meetups, or other industry-related groups is a plus.
What We Offer (Comp & Benefits will differ for non-US hires)
Compensation range: $80,000 - $100,000
ORCA token allocation: 40,000 - 60,000 ORCA over 4 years
