We are a SOC2 Type 2 company and headquartered in Los Altos, CA (SF Bay Area).About the RoleAs an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and scaling a small but high-performing engineering team of 10 people. You will ensure technical excellence, efficient execution, and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage projects, optimize workflows, and maintain a high bar for quality and performance in a fast-paced DeFi environment.ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Management
Direct, coordinate, and mentor a team of 10 engineers throughout the product lifecycle, from development to deployment.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective task delegation based on team priorities, individual strengths, and overall product strategy.
Identify areas for skill development and provide coaching or training where necessary.
Project & Product Execution
Own and drive engineering execution, ensuring the timely and quality completion of all deliverables.
Continuously assess and implement process improvements to maintain a lean, productive, and scalable team.
Work closely with the executive leadership, product, and sales teams for periodic milestone reviews.
Ensure that engineering decisions align with business goals, customer needs, and market trends.
Technical Excellence & Quality Assurance
Implement robust QA/QC procedures to ensure security, reliability, and performance of DeFi applications.
Track development progress, ensure code quality and proactively adjust workflows to meet budget and timeline expectations.
Drive technical strategy, architecture, and best practices for secure and scalable DeFi solutions.
Stay updated with the latest DeFi trends, blockchain technologies, and security best practices.
QualificationsRequired Skills & Experience
10+ years of engineering experience in software development, including at least 5 years in a leadership role (Engineering Manager / Lead Engineer).
Strong DeFi/blockchain experience (Ethereum, Layer 2s, smart contracts, decentralized applications, Solidity, etc.).
Proven track record in managing engineering teams, technical project execution, and scaling software development teams.
Expertise in software development processes, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
Strong understanding of smart contract security, audits, and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with shifting priorities.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
