Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President of Product Management to lead our Healthcare Financial Engagement Platform. This individual will be a transformational leader, driving the development of innovative solutions that empower patients, providers, and payers to navigate the complexities of healthcare finance. You will define the product roadmap, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with market needs and business objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare financial engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
Product Definition:
Lead the team in defining the market by mapping needs with target markets and analyzing market segments to actively pursue.
Ensure targeted segments are large enough to support the current and future business cost of the product.
Determine the distribution strategy, including identifying the best channels, vendors, partners, and affiliates that align with market buying preferences.
Communicate distribution strategy details to necessary partners for product delivery.
Integrate products into a coherent portfolio focused on the market.
Manage the portfolio like a “product” (business plan, market requirements).
Business Planning:
Develop a business plan by performing an objective analysis of potential market opportunities.
Articulate market insights and quantify risks, including creating a financial model with the finance team.
Determine the most effective way to deliver a complete solution to an identified market problem – through buying, building, or partnering for capabilities.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess product performance, company impact, and contribution to profit.
Develop key reports with the finance team to track metrics and financial results.
Focus the product team’s creative efforts on solving market problems using the organization’s distinctive competencies.
Define the product by its ability to solve market problems, including features and capabilities.
Leadership:
Establish strategic team-specific OKRs and evaluate/prioritize initiatives to achieve those outcomes.
Communicate frequently and effectively with the team, leadership, and key stakeholders regarding product strategy.
Motivate the entire team contributing to product delivery.
Ensure ideas are heard and respectfully challenge the ideas of others.
Advocate positions and encourage a sense of shared purpose and exciting possibilities.
Role model core values and virtues and guide others in their development.
Lead, manage, and mentor product team members at all levels.
Recruit, interview, hire, and train individual contributors, managers, and directors on the team.
Plan, assign, and direct workloads within the team; conduct performance management activities and facilitate career growth for assigned associates.
Provide clear direction, set expectations, and ensure the team is equipped with the resources and support needed to achieve success.
With direct reports, create a roadmap of technical development in support of the product strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with product marketing, sales, sales support, client services, and finance teams to prepare plans for selling and supporting the product strategy.
Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.
Define and refine the product vision for the healthcare financial engagement platform, aligning it with overarching company goals and market trends.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and emerging industry trends.
Product Roadmap and Execution
Develop and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements to maximize impact and value.
Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and iterate on features to continuously improve the user experience.
Promote a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging analytics and user insights to guide product development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Market Fit and Adoption:
Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure product-market fit and drive adoption.
Regulatory Compliance:
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure products adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Stakeholder Relationships:
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, communicating product vision and progress effectively.
Qualifications
Digital Payments and Transactions
Understanding of Payment Gateways and Processors:
Knowledge of how digital payment systems work, including payment gateways, processors, and acquiring banks.
Familiarity with various payment methods such as credit cards, digital wallets, and cryptocurrencies.
Experience with Payment Security:
Awareness of security protocols and measures such as PCI-DSS compliance, encryption, and tokenization.
Understanding of fraud detection and prevention mechanisms.
Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies
Blockchain Technology:
Insight into blockchain technology, its applications, and its impact on financial services.
Experience with implementing or leveraging blockchain solutions for transactions, smart contracts, or supply chain management.
Cryptocurrency Markets:
Knowledge of cryptocurrency markets, trading platforms, and regulatory considerations.
Understanding of the implications of digital currencies on traditional financial systems.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
FinTech Regulations:
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing FinTech activities, such as AML (Anti-Money Laundering), KYC (Know Your Customer), and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Understanding of licensing requirements and compliance obligations in different jurisdictions.
Risk Management:
Experience in assessing and managing financial risks, including credit risk, operational risk, and cybersecurity risk.
Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies and regulatory reporting requirements.
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence
Big Data and Analytics:
Proficiency in using data analytics tools and platforms to derive insights from large datasets.
Understanding of predictive analytics, data mining, and machine learning applications in financial services.
Artificial Intelligence (AI):
Knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies and their applications in FinTech, such as automated customer service (chatbots), credit scoring, and fraud detection.
Financial Platforms and Integration
Core Banking Systems:
Experience with core banking systems and their integration with FinTech solutions.
Understanding of API (Application Programming Interface) integration and open banking standards.
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP):
Familiarity with ERP systems and how they interact with financial platforms to streamline operations.
Experience in implementing or managing ERP systems to enhance financial reporting and compliance.
Customer Experience and User Interface Design
User-Centric Design:
Knowledge of designing intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for financial products and services.
Experience with customer journey mapping and enhancing user experience (UX) through digital solutions.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Familiarity with CRM systems and their role in managing customer interactions and improving customer service.
Understanding of personalized marketing and customer engagement strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong technical background in FinTech-related technologies and platforms.
Ability to understand and leverage emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Ability to align FinTech initiatives with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
Insight into market trends and the competitive landscape within the FinTech industry.
Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate with IT, finance, compliance, and business development teams.
Educational Background:
Advanced degree in finance, technology, business administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications related to FinTech, such as CFA, CFT (Certified FinTech Professional), or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
Experience with financial technology (FinTech) solutions or healthcare payment systems.
