As our Senior Technical Artist, you'll act as the crucial bridge between our artists and developers. In this role, you'll ensure that our game not only looks stunning but is optimized for peak performance. You'll work closely with both creative and technical teams to create workflows, solve technical challenges, and ensure our game runs smoothly on all platforms. Your passion for art and technology will help us solve complex challenges to deliver memorable experiences to our players. How you will make an impact: Facilitate communication between artists and developers, ensuring efficient workflows and smooth collaboration. Collaborate with artists to bring their creative vision to life while maintaining performance standards, particularly for consoles. Develop and maintain tools, shaders, and pipelines that optimize asset production under technical constraints. Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, working with engineers to maintain visual fidelity without sacrificing optimization. Implement lighting, materials, and environmental features that enhance both aesthetics and performance. Streamline art pipelines with engineers to ensure assets integrate smoothly into the game engine. Your character build: 3 to 4+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming industry (console experience is a bonus). Deep understanding of 3D art production pipelines, with a focus on optimization and performance. Expert in Unreal Engine and Blueprint, with hands-on experience solving technical challenges. Knowledge in lighting design or environmental art, contributing to both performance and visual quality. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize shaders, textures, and in-game assets. Experience working across teams, facilitating collaboration between developers and artists. Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members. Proficient in scripting and coding (Python, C++) (bonus).
