We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join our team. This individual will develop new features, test, and maintain code across our mission-critical products. This position reports to the Principal Engineer.  Responsibilities Contribute to the design and implementation of our digital asset recovery platform by writing high-performance software to scan large volumes of data for cryptographic content. Code must run both in the cloud and in containerized isolation and be both scalable and packageable. Required Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of software development experience with at least 3 years of back-end development expertise in Python Experience working in large TypeScript codebases Expertise working with large files and large numbers of files Expertise developing high-performance, multithreaded software Experience writing code that is well-tested and robust Experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Experience working Linux based environments Solid understanding and experience with message queues(e.g. RabbitMQ, Celery) Experience with Docker containers and deployments in cloud environments Knowledge of databases (sql/nosql) Experience working at early-stage startups where speed is of the essence Preferred Qualifications: Strong OS fundamentals Experience with optical character recognition and natural language processing applications Prior experience in GovTech or highly-regulated environments Familiarity with blockchain integration and digital forensics $150,000 - $180,000 a year Salary Range and Benefits: - Actual compensation within this range will depend upon the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and level of impact in the role.  - Equity in a high-growth startup  - 401(k) match  - Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance  - Flexible work hours: US EST  - Remote work  - Light travel may be required to attend offsites and other team meetings throughout the year We believe in taking care of our employees, with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a generous 401(k) match, and unlimited vacation time to recharge and explore your passions.
