**Role:** Senior Front-End Developer **We’re looking for short term help on building our futarchy front-end (Dec 2024-Jan 2025), as well as establishing a longer-term relationship that could evolve in a full-time position.** ### About Butter Butter addresses misalignment and capture in crypto governance through robust mechanisms. Our current focus is solve treasury allocation for the largest DAOs within the Ethereum ecosystem by deploying [Conditional Funding Markets](https://community.ggresear.ch/t/conditional-funding-markets/27), based on futarchy and prediction markets. Butter is a [Uniswap Foundation grantee](https://x.com/UniswapFND/status/1351594). ### Overview As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces for our DApp, with a strong focus on UI design and user experience (UX). You will work closely with our existing engineering team of two and our UX designer, together with co-founders on product design and roadmap. Your role will be crucial in translating complex concepts from prediction markets and futarchy into intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. ### Key Responsibilities * **Implement User Interfaces:** Translate UI/UX designs into engaging and responsive front-end components using React and TypeScript. * **Collaborate with Design and Engineering Teams:** Work closely with UI/UX designers and smart-contracts/backend developers to ensure seamless integration. * **Understand Prediction Markets:** Build a strong understanding of prediction markets and futarchy to effectively translate them into the UI. * **Contribute to Product Strategy:** Participate in product design discussions and influence the technical roadmap. * **Autonomous Work Ethic:** Operate independently to deliver high-quality UI components efficiently. ### Required Skills * **4+ Years Front-End Experience:** Proven expertise with React and TypeScript. * **Web3 Integration:** Proficient in wallet SDKs (e.g., Wagmi) and web3 libraries (e.g., Ethers.js). * **UI/UX Proficiency:** Strong foundation in UI/UX principles with excellent skills in translating designs into functional code. * **Interest in Prediction Markets and Governance:** Prior knowledge is a plus but a strong interest is required. * **Autonomous and Efficient:** Capable of working independently and delivering results promptly. * **Available ASAP:** Ready to join the team as soon as possible. ### Key Deliverables * **User Interface Designs:** Develop and deliver UI designs for the DApp. * **High-Quality Front-End Codebase:** Write clean, efficient, and maintainable React components, hooks and libraries. * **Enhanced User Experience:** Improve the overall usability and accessibility of the application. * **Product Design Contributions:** Influence and contribute to the product design roadmap.
