Senior Solidity Engineer

We are building BOB, a new way for builders to experiment and innovate with usable decentralization while retaining Bitcoin security. We are seeking an experienced Senior Solidity Engineer to design and implement core smart contracts on BOB and the BOB SDK.
The role
Your role will focus on enhancing the OP Stack bridge, refining consensus mechanisms, advancing governance, and extending the BOB SDK - including BOB Gateway, the BTC light client, and account abstraction optimized for Bitcoin. Working closely with the core team, you’ll contribute to building the BOB stack and play a leading role in technical discussions with both the core team and our community.
What you will do
Architect and build secure smart contracts for the BOB core, research existing and cutting-edge technologies to develop new protocols (sometimes without a formal specification)Extend and optimize the BOB SDK including the BTC light client, account abstraction, meta transactions, and OP Stack integrationsEnsure the security of smart contracts by applying standardized libraries, testing, verification, and supporting auditsEngage in discussions with the core team on the on-chain strategy and feature roadmapShare knowledge with other team members on smart contract engineering best practicesDrive the smart contract part of the BOB SDK by creating opportunities for other developers to contribute to the stack
Requirements
Two years or more of hands-on Solidity development experienceOne year of experience deploying smart contracts on Ethereum mainnet (or other EVM mainnets) for high-impact projects with measurable Total Value Locked (TVL)Deep understanding of smart contract best practices, with experience designing novel protocol functionality and architecting research-driven solutionsInterest in Bitcoin and new Bitcoin technologies including taproot, ordinals, brc20 and BitVMGreat communication skills in a remote setting
