Your Mission:
Join our team as an outstanding Risk Manager overseeing Technology risks across the Bitpanda Group. You will be responsible for challenging, controlling, reporting and advising on technology risks relating to Bitpanda’s Technology strategy, processes, architecture and solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring Bitpanda’s technology services, software (and infrastructure) are robust and continue to evolve.
You will report to the VP of Risk and will be a key member of Bitpanda’s growing Group Risk Management Team.
What you’ll do:
Lead oversight of technology risks, including software governance, architecture, and roadmap/planning, in alignment with Bitpanda’s Risk Management Framework.
Act as the point of contact for Bitpanda’s technology teams, helping them identify, treat, monitor, and report technology risks.
Perform control testing at planned intervals to assess effective control implementation, and advise risk owners on assessment and treatment of identified risks.
Oversee the evolving Technology risk landscape, conduct regular awareness and training sessions, and ensure risks are reported via appropriate channels.
Coordinate risk and control assessments, oversee relevant events or incidents, participate in audit engagements as needed, and support senior management in aligning IT risk governance with organisational goals.
Who you are:
5-10 years experience in financial services or financial technology, managing risk and control activities, and possessing strong knowledge of non-financial risk management, related processes, and frameworks.
Subject-matter-expert in Technology risks, particularly software development risks, and familiar with engineering standards and information technology, including third-party outsourcing.
Ability to understand end-to-end risks and integrate a control framework throughout the organisation, bringing risk-management topics to life and embedding high-output, low-friction practices.
A self-starter capable of operating in an ever-changing environment, consistently demonstrating leadership and ownership.
Nice to have: Relevant certifications such as CRISC®, CGEIT®, COBIT, ITIL, or other related certifications.
