SCOPE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team on a 9-months fixed-term contract, covering a maternity leave. Based in London this position offers the chance to collaborate closely with the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, as well as single entities and group consolidated audit. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee areas of financial accounting of control, including financial accounting, treasury, systems, and finance transactions • Coordinate and manage external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion • Prepare audit schedules, provide necessary documentation, and address auditor queries • Coordinate and prepare statutory reporting using US GAAP for subsidiary entities • Ensuring accurate and current financial ledgers • Provide the management committee and EXCO with financial reporting vital to the decision-making process • Support the implementation of new AP software, including new budgeting and forecasting process
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations
• Maintain up to date documentation of business process and accounting policies • Fulfil additional ad hoc duties are required to meet the needs of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) • qualified with 3-4 years post qualification experience PREFERRED SKILLS
• Able to present financial information clearly and concisely with great insight • A strong understanding of financial accounting and the preparation of financial reports • Held a similar position with ability to report to EXCO if required • Experience with google suite to intermediary level • An ability to and proactively solve problems • Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines & proactively manage workload • Demonstration of honesty, integrity and good reputation • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills and ability to interpret and summarise/present varied data • Advanced excel skills
