🙌🏼 What you will be doing
In this role, you will lead US Compliance operations, ensuring adherence to state and federal requirements. You will play a pivotal role in maturing our compliance program into a world-class initiative, supporting our expanding crypto business in the United States.Â

đź§©What you will be working on
Serve as the subject matter expert on BSA/AML/OFAC matters to the company's US entity and state licensing requirements
Develop, enhance, and manage effective BSA/AML and OFAC sanctions compliance programs in alignment with the Ramp’s business and risk profile. This will include, but is not limited to, enhancing and maintaining policies and procedures on Know Your Customer and Know You Business (KYC/KYB), transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
Develop thorough understanding of Ramp’s businesses, risks, and processes with respect to AML and sanctions compliance, including literacy around the development and implementation of technical controls
Direct the development and implementation of policies, procedures and controls across the organization and ensuring alignment of Group standards.
Advising the Chief Risk officer and senior management on the technical and operations teams on incorporating financial crimes compliance into Ramp’s products and operational practices.
Provide regular reports and communication on the state of the BSA/AML/OFAC programs to senior management and the Board.
Create and conduct engaging and meaningful BSA/AML/OFAC trainings for Ramp’s employees.
Monitor legal developments and industry trends and best practices to ensure that Ramp is operating at the forefront of applicable requirements, and maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Perform additional special projects as needed by the Compliance team, including in flight and new licensing applications..

🤟 What you will bring
5+ years of relevant experience in a financial crime compliance role at a bank or money transmitter or crypto exchange/ other crypto related firm
Experience in state money transmitter licensing and examinations
Subject matter expertise in the Bank Secrecy Act, equivalent state laws, and U.S. sanctions requirements
Experience advising on and implementing compliant procedures including Know-Your-Customer and Know-Your-Business, Enhanced Due Diligence, transaction monitoring and drafting Suspicious Activity Reports at a State and Federal Level.
Experience drafting policies and guidance documents for internal and external stakeholders
Experience conducting risk assessments and oversight of audits by federal and state regulators, banks, and other third-parties
Ability to work alongside technical and operations teams to define legal requirements and ensure their effective application
Strong communication skills, particularly in relation to stakeholders unfamiliar with regulatory requirements
ACAMS certification or equivalent preferred
Experience with global programs is a plus
