About the Account Manager (Ads) Role: You will be driven and are an enthusiastic individual to grow CoinGecko Ad Sales to the next level. You must be comfortable prioritizing and qualifying opportunities and then driving them from inception all the way through to completion. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cryptocurrency and help us achieve our mission of building the front page of cryptocurrency. What Will You Be Doing? • Advertising Sales: Own individual sales quota and consistently meet or exceed sales targets through new client acquisition, account retention, and revenue growth. Deliver consultative sales by understanding client needs and providing recommendations on monetization, targeting, and performance to maximize ROI. Leverage knowledge in CoinGecko’s digital advertising offerings to secure favorable contracts that align with both client and CoinGecko business objectives. • Revenue Growth: Contribute to initiatives to optimize ad inventory allocation, pricing, and sales performance.  • Sales Forecasting: Contribute to accurate sales forecasting by managing the pipeline and adjusting forecasts based on client activity. Provide insights from client interactions to help refine team sales strategies.  • Lead Generation: Source new business and develop strategies for client acquisition through both inbound and outbound efforts. Qualify leads, ensure accurate CRM records, and collaborate with marketing teams to ensure effective outreach. • Relationship Management: Build strong client relationships and serve as the point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Manage client communication in CRM, proactively address client needs, ensure campaign success, and ensure timely escalation of issues when necessary. • Media Planning: Develop media plans that align with client goals. Recommend suitable placements and formats based on performance data, audience, and client budget, while coordinating with internal teams for smooth execution. • Market Research: Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to provide insights and recommendations for improving campaigns. • Sales Reporting & Analytics: Report individual sales performance on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Prepare and share accurate sales reports and analytics with team lead and contribute to sales performance reviews. • Sales Operations & Process Optimization: Support CRM management and sales process optimization by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements.  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams such as AdOps to ensure successful execution of campaigns and seamless client experience. • Coaching: Assist in mentoring and training interns/junior team members. Provide feedback on their work and contribute to knowledge-sharing activities within the team. • You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company. What We Look For In You: • Proven Ability: You have 2-5 years of experience in advertising sales and consistently exceeding targets, ideally in startups or fintech.  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field is a plus. • Product Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of CoinGecko Ad products, customer needs, and the crypto/blockchain landscape. • Sales Knowledge : You have a solid knowledge of the full sales lifecycle (prospecting, nurturing, closing), pipeline management, sales reporting, forecasting and analysis. • Familiarity with Data Tools: You are proficient in CRM tools (HubSpot). • Familiarity with AdTech: You have proficiency in AdTech including standard principles of ad serving, analytics, and targeting. You also understand various ad formats and ad costs types (e.g. CPM/CPC/CPA etc.). • Project Management: You can manage multiple initiatives with a focus on meeting deadlines. You are able to coordinate tasks, manage resources, and track progress to ensure successful project delivery. You possess high attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, ensuring top execution standards. • Entrepreneurial: You are self-motivated, resourceful, and have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced and highly agile environment. • Communication: You can build strong relationships within the team and with customers, effectively engaging stakeholders through compelling verbal and written communication to drive successful sales pitches. • Negotiation: You have strong negotiation and persuasion skills to obtain buy-in, close high-value deals, and secure favorable terms. • Leadership: You are a natural leader who can work independently to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. • Growth Mindset: You have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, balancing constraints with business needs.
